Focused on the economic impacts of poor work -life balance, not just on the employee s but
also on the company. Mentioned that research has shown that employees with poor work -life
balance tend to have lower productivity levels, lower concentration, and thus have an adverse
impact on the company as well. In addition, it also leads to lower retention levels for an
organisation.
Talked about work -life balance in the Indian context. Mentioned that although developed
countries have strict labour laws that enables people to strike a proper balance, the same is
not the case with India. Although l abour laws are enforced, they are lax in comparison to most
developed countries. Moreover, they are abided by only in the formal sector, i.e., big
organisations and corporations, while a major chunk of India’s po pulation is employed in the
informal sector, where workers are made to work extremely long hours without proper
compensation.
Focused on the importance of having work -life balance, and suggested some measures to
improve the same in India, such as having stri cter labour laws for all sectors, having a 4 -day
work week like several developed countries are implementing.

Tips/Suggestions
- Be thorough with your HR sets. It is better to try to relate your answers with a personal
- experience, the interviewers appreciate that. Try to inculcate the compan y values,
- mission, vision subtly in your answers.
- It is recommended to practice some cases, and also ask clarifying questions when solving
- the same to get more clarity.
- Know your CV inside out. A lot of questions might be CV based, so you should be able to
- justify whatever is there on the CV.
- Always smil e and show enthusiasm towards the company and its products. Stay calm and
- composed, and answer confidently.
